Institute for Welding Tuzla was founded by „Schweißtechnische Lehranstalt Magdeburg“ - SLM (Germany) and the Government of Tuzla Canton in the ratio 51: 49%. The main activity of the institute includes training, additional training and certification of welders with all necessary tests according to the requirements of EN ISO 9606 with the release of the international certificates for participants (DVS or TÜV).
These activities are carried out in our modern equipped workshop (approx. 700m2) with 22 training boxes and a special room for grinding. In addition to these capacities the institute also has a modern equipped laboratory for testing of welded joints. Institute for welding Tuzla as the only accredited training body (ATB) in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the International Institute of Welding (IIW), in cooperation with the Society for welding BiH, Association for the Advancement of welding Serbia is organizing courses for international welding engineers and international welding technologists (IWE / IWT).
We offer training for welders; Monitoring and testing services for materials and welded joints: Chemical analysis of materials – spectrometry; Mechanical testing of materials, visual inspection of welds, penetrant, magnetic, ultrasonic and radiographic methods of testing. We perform qualification of welding procedures (WPQR) according to EN ISO 15614; Certification of the manufacturer according to EN 1090, EN ISO 3834, EN ISO 15085;
Institut for welding Tuzla since its founded in 2005 until today has successfully trained over 3000 candidates for all welding processes. Also, from 2009 until today has successfully organized international specialization's for engineers and welding technologists (IWE / IWT) with over 100 candidates from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
